They used to. I meddled with this to "improve" window management in my
concurrent Alpha/CodeWarrior environment, because full-screen
'winvertically' added no value to my fixed-width source displays and
interfered with CodeWarrior window visibility. This way I can have CW's
project (& error, etc) windows on the right while Alpha concurrently
maintains 2+ windows on the left.

This used to bug me too because it's so non-Mac. Is it really a problem?
