I am very annoyed by the fact that in version 7.2 of Alpha, any \label
containing a character like a ., or ; is not read by the \ref command. More
precisely if you type \label{3.5}, a corresponding \ref will only contain
\ref{3}. Is this a permanent bug? This did not happen in Version 6.52.

Also I dont know how to get read of the eq: which appear in the labels,
except by typing them out. Again, there was no eq: in the older versions,
which was, I think, better.
Has anyone a oslution to this?
Thanks for your help. JM Bismut
