I strongly second this opinion, as did Mr Noyb, D Craing, J Kock, and others,
and agree with all three of the above points.
Like Mark, I find my typos late (if ever). Moving the insertion point between
the two offending characters/words would be my preferred way to deal with the
problem. I like the idea that in case of a mistake this can be easily undone
by twiddling again.
