In this regard, might I ask what was the rationale for the change in
twiddle?  It occurred fairly recently -- 7.2 or 7.3, I think.  (I'd have
to go back and sift through my e-mail archives to be sure; I complained
about it when it happened, as I recall.)  I'm sure whoever made the
changes believed them to be reasonable choices, so I'm curious what the
thinking was.

However this goes, I hope the default twiddle reverts to recognizing
spaces.

As an aside, I'm shocked, simply shocked, that you say you don't
twiddle.  (It's been a long, long time, but I'm fairly sure that "xp"
was the very first non-trivial vi trick that I learned.)  You must be a
MUCH better typist than I am :-)
