Glad you're finding the proc useful. Small confession: the proc I
posted was straight out of the 7.2 release (out of interest, the
'new' version first appeared in 7.2.1b6 on 3 July 1999 and you were
the first to complain about the altered behaviour on 13 October
1999. I complained about it on 13 Dec 1999).
As far as I can tell from here, the 'old' version is fully
reversible. That said, I too would prefer that twiddle didn't leave
the twiddled characters selected. I have only a vague idea how to do
this, but I don't have time to pursue it.
