Look for a preference flag named 'lockStatus'.
Turning that flag to OFF will allow you to drag the StatusWin.
I don't remember which preferences dialog lists the 'lockStatus'
option, (sorry, I'm away from my Macs right now)
but if you can't find it, you can simply load (execute):
set lockStatus 0
before you drag it, I think.
