The reason is that "file join" works slightly differently in Tcl 8 and Alpha 7.4. 7.5d1 has an updated "file join", which works like in Tcl 8. I have an updated HTML mode in the pipeline, which should fix this. Hopefully I'll release 3.1b1 this week. I'll go away for a week on Friday, but I hope I'll have time to get it ready before then.
