(That doesn't make sense to me, so I am currently trying to ask Vince to change his mind.) When three windows "prefs.tcl", "prompts.tcl", "prompts2.tcl" are open, as soon as I type "p", Vince's completion auto-fills "pr". (I can't type "pr", because the completion thinks of "prr" in that case) then I have to type "o", at which time the completion says "prompts" then I have to type "2", then the completion takes it as "prompts2.tcl". You see, in order to "satisfy" this "completion" routine, I HAVE to type "po2", to specify the window name "prompts2.tcl". NO OTHER typing is ALLOWED. I am saying that such interface is not good. I want the completion routine to recognise my typing "prompts2" to mean "prompts2.tcl", _not_ "prromptsompts2". With this "sophisticated" completion routine of Vince', us users have to "think hard", to type "po2" to pursuade the routine to recognise "prompts2". I consider that's not a _human_ interface. I want to type "prompts2", not "po2". > >BTW, which "resources" are you talking about, Jon? > > Mental. > I need a _humanly_ interface so that I can smoothly work using a text editor, so that I _can_ save my mental resources. :-) Mark -- Mark Nagata mailto:nagata@kurims.kyoto-u.ac.jp _______________________________________________ AlphaTcl-developers mailing list AlphaTcl-developers@lists.sourceforge.net http://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/alphatcl-developers
