Mark,

I agree with you.  I think the procedure should usually not complete and
there should be a special completion key-combo (i'm not sure what that
should be, perhaps 'ctrl-w' which would bear some similarity to isearch,
perhaps 'tab',...).

Also have to think if there are uses of the procedure which shoiuld
complete by default.
